Changes to my study programme
Changes to my study programme
Because of the pandemic everything
is closed, especially schools and universities around the world. At the beginning
it didn’t affect me very much but now I’m a little disturb because I don’t know
what is going to happen in the next months. We are in an uncertain moment.
So now I have online classes, I’m
not so happy with them cause some of them last very much and sometimes it’s boring
been sit a long time (mi neck sometimes hurts). I feel like I’m not productive
or not as productive as when I was going to the university. Now I just read a
paper in one day, before I just to read like two or three. I don’t have much
energy and sometimes I don’t feel like doing things for college.
The other problem it’s that I
feel like I’m not learning and I think that my classmates feel the same. Probably
it’s because we are very distress but I’ve trying to think that this is just a
moment and then everything it’s going to be better and I hope so.
It’s not like I’m not doing
anything about my assignments (I do every one) but it’s still complicated to
just focus on this.
I really feel like I don’t have
very much attention to pay in studies because it’s a moment were people are dying,
losing their jobs, they don’t have food or a place to stay. I know that we can’t
do much but I still think about it.
English Language Challenges
English Language Challenges
When I was a kid I really really
really hate English, it was my worst subject at school and in some strange way
the teacher always asked me questions and I’m not the most outgoing person, so
it was very difficult for me. Now I think that I have more confident when I talk
and write in English but my pronunciation it’s not the best.
I think that I prefer to write
than to speak in English because I can write something that isn’t right but it’s
not so embarrassing than speak with a bad pronunciation, but when I travel I
definitely have to speak in English, so it is important for me to speak more
and to be understood by others.
I love British English, I love it
but I can’t understand it very well. Sometimes when I watch movies or series I have
to repeat some scenes because I don’t understand. I just saw "Good
Omens" on Amazon and it's very useful to improve the way I understand
British English and the characters are fun.
I understand very well USA
English, I have watched “Keeping up with the Kardashians” since I was little so
I kind of have the way they speak but not so much, they say “like” very often
when they speak. Personally, I prefer USA English and their way of
pronunciation because it´s more easy for me.
Now I have been learning German
and sometimes I mistake “is” with “ist” (that means “is” but in German), the
pronunciation also is different even if some words are similar, so now that is
a problem for me.
Personal Opinions
Personal Opinions
I think that I’m very respectful
towards others people’s opinions because I want the same respect that I give to
them and because of the freedom of expression. Sometimes of course some
opinions make me feel angry, like when guys talk about feminism and just attack
other girls, but I try to be very respectful (everybody is free to have an opinion
but that does not mean I’m going to follow the way they think about certain
matters). I think that If I give respect to others I want the same respect, if
that doesn’t happen then I’m not going to be very respectful to them.
There are opinions that will help
me and others that will me make me feel sad, angry or whatever. Opinions affect
me in different ways because sometimes it’s how people said certain things,
some are kind others are rude, so it’s complicated. At the same time, I always
try to take these opinions in a good way and not take it to personal, but
sometimes that doesn´t happen and it’s okay, there are certain things that
affect us in different ways. People can say things that aren’t important to
them but it will be important for us, so it’s the subjectivity that takes part
here.
I just want to say that in this time people take opinions very personally and it’s good but the problem is that if you said something that the majority doesn’t like they will attack you, so I think that the freedom of expression it’s starting to falling apart.
Thanks for readinggg :)
Post Graduate Studies
Thinking about my post graduate
studies in this situation it’s complicated because I don’t have certain of what
it’s going to happen in the next months or in the next year. Right now I’m concentrated
in finish my third year of university in the better possible way and to be with
mi family and pets.
Of course, I’ve being thinking in
my educational future but not so much because of the actual situation doesn’t give
me calm and I don’t know if what I want it’s going to be possible when the
pandemic stops. What I have clear it’s that I’m going to continue with my post
graduate studies probably in Germany because I’ve family there and it’s more
easy for me to go there and I’ve been learning German. My sister is at the
Heidelberg University so I think that I’m going probably there or somewhere near
the state of Baden-Wurtemberg, that’s my plan.
What I’m not
clear about is what I will specialize in. I think this year is a bit decisive
to see in which direction I point, what I want to focus on in the coming years
and in if that’s going to make me happy. Legal Psychology and Educational Psychology
are my favorites but I'm not sure yet of which one is the right for me, for now
that’s uncertain.

Themed Post
Books
Today I'm going to talk about my favorite
books. I development a love for reading when I was very young. I really enjoy
to read and I think that is a way to distract myself and to imagine a world
that somebody has created. I think that I enjoyed this books because they tell
very different stories and they are located at different times.
One of my favorite books is
"Disgrace" from Coetzee, it's such a great book. It tales the story
of a teacher that loses his job and has to travel to the countryside with his
daughter and then he lives very bad experiences that make him change the way he see things and to be more empathic.
Another of my favorite books is
"Crime and Punishment" from Dostoyevski. The story is about a young
man called Raskolnikov and he needs money because, he is from the countryside
(is very poor) and some other things, in his desperate need of money he kills
an old lady and there it all start.
And my favorite favorite book is
“It” from Stephen King. I love it but I didn´t read it at night because I get a
little scare. The story is catching even when the book it's very very big.
Well, this are my favorite books,
I hope you can read them some day and enjoyed the good things about reading.
THANKS FOR READINGG :)

Exercise 2
Meditation
I think the video was very
interesting and contained a lot of data that I didn't know, especially when you
think about the positive effects of meditation, such as the increase in
empathy, the decrease in anxiety and depression, the increase in memory, among
other positive effects.
Personally, I've never
meditated and when I have wanted to do it I thought that it probably will not
work for me or that perhaps when I meditate it will not be successful and I
will end up wasting time. But I feel that this works (many people have told me
about their experiences meditating and they are very good), the problem is that
I'm very impatient and sometimes that prevents me from doing certain things
that could be good for me.
These days I've felt very well
and calm. I know that there are terrible things happening at the moment but
despair is not going to bring a quicker solution. It helps me a lot to be with
my pets and spend time with my family, it makes me feel very good.
I really like the English class,
so I feel very comfortable when it starts. I think I get a little nervous
doing some of the exercises but at the same time the exercises help me
improve the way of speaking and writing in english.
After this, I think that I'm
going to start meditating even if I get a little impatient, sometimes trying new things
can be something good.
Thanks for readingggg.....💗💗💗

A country I'd like to visit
When I was at school I read a lot of classic books like "The Iliad" or "The Odyssey" that really call my attention about this country and I started looking for information about how the people used to live there, their food, their culture and especially their history. The capital of Greece is Athens and it's so majestic for me, that I really need to go.
I would like to traveled around this country not just a place, visit The Parthenon, the islands (Santorini, Mykonos, Rhodes), eat their food and talk to people there.
I don't think that I would live, study or work there because I see it like a place to visit and have a nice moment.
And not less important, I really loved Mamma Mia!!
